Riverside Cafe, Millbank – London
The cafe has views over the river to the MI5 building, made famous in countless James Bond movies. Cayford Design was responsible for the initial and detailed design of the fit-out. It started as an empty shell at the base of the newly built Riverwalk building.

Grab a coffee or take a break on the way to or from work. A perfect place to relax after visiting the Tate.
Our Approach
Maximising views and light, we followed the established style guide of the cafe operator. With a neat design the slatted ceiling follows the curved glass frontage concealing the extensive services above.
Our Process
We produced initial and detailed design drawings for statutory approvals, and for construction by the contractor.
The Results
A charming and friendly cafe. The initial operator sold the business and it now runs as ‘Cafe Society’.
